Total project value: 6,014,381.23 HRK
Awarded grant funds: 4,133,261.09 HRK
Project implementation period: 1 October 2020 – 30 November 2022
The project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Structural and Investment Funds in the financial period 2014–2020.
Project Description, Objectives and Expected Results
The subject of the project is the construction and equipping of a facility for the biological treatment of separately collected bio-waste — a composting plant in the settlement of Črnec Biškupečki in Varaždin, with a capacity of 2,500 tonnes per year, in which separately collected bio-waste will be recycled through the technological process of composting.
In accordance with the obtained waste management permit, Clip Bio Plus d.o.o. manages the bio-waste of the City of Varaždin at the premises of our biogas facility in Črnec Biškupečki, which will fundamentally contribute to the improvement of the waste management system across the territory of 17 local self-government units of Varaždin County.
The result of the project is 1 constructed facility for the biological treatment of separately collected bio-waste; a reduction of bio-waste deposited at landfills by 2,500 tonnes, and 2,500 tonnes of solid waste: additional waste recycling capacity per year integrated into the waste management system of the Republic of Croatia, resulting from the project activities.
The project will also create 3 new jobs for employees at the composting facility, whereby the project contributes to reducing unemployment.
By concluding the agreement with EU funds, the 1st phase of the business strategy has been achieved, in which we will, in accordance with the highest standards of a professional approach to work, uphold transparency in the management of natural resources for the benefit of the wider community.
Upon completion of the project "Construction and equipping of a biological treatment facility — composting plant", the company will market the compost obtained from the facility in bulk to farmers, business entities, public institutions for the maintenance of public green spaces, and private households.
The basic raw material will consist of processed compost obtained from the processing of organic matter from our locations.
